Recipe: Bacon and Sweet Potato Soup with Sage

I wish I could get in on the squash lovefest that's happening right now but for whatever reason, squash is one of things that's just "meh" to me.  I mean if it's on the plate I'll eat it but I won't jump out of my seat about it.  This is a rather frustrating concept to me because I really want to like it.

Cooking feeds your body, mind, and soul. It allows you to control the food you put into your body, connect with your family and friends over a home cooked meal, and save the money you might otherwise spend in restaurants or on processed, prepackaged foods. Believe it or not, making simple and satisfying meals from scratch doesn’t have to be hard.  Nicole Salemi

“Beet”ing the Cold in London –forecast sun for this recipe for roasted yellow beet root soup

Good news for residents of the U.K. worried about the coming winter weather. "This year's winter is not going to be nearly as cold or snowy as last year," AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Alan Reppert said. Still, it's time to pull out your scarves and winter coats. Reppert is forecasting that the coldest air of the season will blow into the United Kingdom in November and early December. By mid-December, Londoners will get a break from the cold that they experienced last year.  www.accuweather.com
