“Born of family, tradition and love” – LA’s Fabulous Food Company -soup that’s a must!

As I  left the city limits of Redondo Beach on the Pacific Coast Highway, weaving my way through Manhattan Beach and Culver City, I   had only one thing on my mind: Chicken Soup. It was a crisp fall day in Los Angeles and as I pulled into the parking lot at the Co-Opportunity Market in Santa Monica, I was only moments away from my first taste of the Fabulous Food Company’s chicken soup. A young, energetic girl was sampling the chicken broth steps  inside the stores door.  The response was pavlovian. The chicken broth so smooth and distinct  in its taste I just had to have more.

In only a matter of minutes,  Founder and CEO Aleks Horvat,  was at the market to personally greet me and  purchased a 16 oz container of the 100%  organic chicken soup. After a brief and pleasant  introduction I could not  wait to get back in the car and head back to Redondo Beach and heat that baby up.

From the hype and reviews  on the Fabulous Food Company's website, I  eagerly set up my bowl and spoon and  waited  the 5 minutes for the  soup to simmer  on the stove. The entire house began to fill up with  delectable aromas; onions, dill, chicken  and many of the smells were so  pleasantly piquant, I had to wait for that first taste to try to identify them. The bowl was packed with “hand-pulled” chicken, contributing  to the label's 10 grams of protein. The subtle  taste of leeks and dill added a smooth buttery flavor to this feast. The moist and hearty additions of banana squash, carrots, celery and a touch of sea salt rounded off the experience. It was truly a meal.

As I sipped the last drop of soup I realized I would have no problem driving  that long road to Santa Monica regularly to purchase this soup.  Luckily you can find this soup and  four others  of the Fabulous Food Company,  including Organic Chicken with Egg drop, online, at  several reputable farmers markets and fine retailers in the Los Angeles area.

The Fabulous Food Company’s  tag line hints “tell ‘em it’s your own”. As I am  Co-founder of a company that promotes everything positive about soup, I couldn’t possibly “claim it’s my own”.  I instead want to tell everyone that it’s the Fabulous Food Company whose  serving up this delicious, homemade, organic soup.
