Mangia Minestrone!

If you go to Ronaldo’s in North Hampton, NH, try everything. Seriously, it’s all good! Ronaldo’s serves up amazing bread, scrumptious appetizers, and delicious and generous portions of pasta in a casual setting. But, I hesitate to tell you to go because I already have to wait up to an hour for a table when I go!
Though small, the restaurant is cozy and the service is friendly at Ronaldo’s. I always over-order when I go, but I always end up with at least one more meal out of the leftovers, so it’s hard to say that over-ordering here is a bad thing. In addition to the bread and ample entrees, Ronaldo’s provides a soup of the day or salad before your meal. On my last visit, I ordered the soup of the day, Minestrone with Tortellini, and nearly filled up on bread and soup before my meal even arrived!
The Minestrone with Tortellini is a hearty tomato-based soup with onions, celery, ground meat, and cheese tortellini. It seems to be seasoned with basil and oregano, and it’s served up in a small glass bowl. It’s a perfect accompaniment to the thick, crusty bread that they will give you an entire loaf of when you arrive – so, dunk away!
As difficult as it is, try to save room for dessert. They make their own cheesecake at Ronaldo’s (the flavor varies) and the Italian Lemon Cream Cake is not to be missed – it’s so light and refreshing that you’ll almost forget how full you are!
