Summer Soup Favorites at 29 Newbury - Boston

Boston wouldn't be Boston without Newbury Street. This popular Back Bay
destination for tourists and locals alike contains some of the best
shopping and eating in the city. While you're taking in the sights, I
recommend a stop for lunch or dinner, or a drink at the bar (open until 1
am) at 29 Newbury Restaurant. And, whatever time of day, don't forget the
soup!

With outdoor patio seating you can indulge your people watching

Summer in New England...Henrietta's Table

Chef Peter Davis has a motto: "fresh from the farm and honest-to-goodness New England cooking." That's the basis for his restaurant, Henrietta's Table, a down home New England style restaurant where the last meal of the day is referred to as dinner's less formal accompaniment - supper.

Something I didn't know... tomatoes are used often in Indian cusuine. Haveli in Inman Square in Cambridge has a fabulous Tomato Corn Soup on its summer menu, the recipe of which they were kind enough to share for our What's the Soup soup lovers:

Perfect Soup for Early Spring - Darwin's, Ltd., Cambridge

There's nothing like early spring in Boston, and on one of the first warm
days of the season, we were off to Darwin's for lunch! With two locations
in Harvard Square, one on Mt Auburn Street and the other on Cambridge
Street, this popular lunch stop has much to offer!

Serving up some excellent soups, Darwin's is a deli and cafe also
providing sandwiches, salads, take out or eat in, local bakery items,
coffee, tea, and, at the Mt. Auburn Street location, even wine and beer.
It's one stop shopping for gourmet goodness!

Elegance on Boylston - Vlora, Boston

A friend and I recently enjoyed a quiet evening at Vlora Restaurant on
Boylston Street in Boston. Not paying attention, I almost walked past the
stairway that leads to the entrance of this basement establishment, but
was impressed when I got there. The large wooden doors at the bottom of
the stairs provides a grand entrance, and the interior shines with
luxurious elegance.
